ANGELA DOWNES OF VIRGINIA COOK REALTORS SPEARHEADS ROLLOUT OF NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENT IN OAK CLIFF

Construction has commenced on a new economical housing development near Bishop Arts in Oak Cliff, the second of a multiple-phase mixed-use community known as the Fiji/Compton project. The region continues to be a growth hotspot for residential neighborhoods with close proximity to downtown.

Sphinx Development Corporation, a North Texas-based development and construction company announced plans to develop affordable townhomes in a new division south of downtown Dallas. Located at the intersection of Compton Street and Fran Way, the Fiji Townhome neighborhood will offer 49 independent units in two separate phases of the project.

“This is an exciting opportunity for buyers looking to live near the center of the city,” said Joe Agumadu, Chief Operating Officer for Sphinx Development. “We are excited to provide a cost-conscious way to do just that.”

Angela Downes of Virginia Cook, REALTORS will spearhead selling the new units. Fiji Townhomes will offer two distinct floorplans for buyers to choose from – The Ajalli and The Belize – with prices ranging from $169,000 to $195,000. Downes emphasized her enthusiasm about the project. “This development makes pride of ownership accessible for a range of homebuyers and is the ideal location for our clients looking for convenience to local amenities.”

Considered a booming economic and residential region of North Texas, Fiji Townhomes’ location offers residents easy access to downtown and major highways, and is adjacent to the recreational amenities and entertainment venues in Bishop Arts.

Sheila Rice, Executive Vice President of Virginia Cook, REALTORS, is confident that the properties will create newer options for affordable homes for the growing area. “Clients of Virginia Cook, REALTORS are discriminating and value sensitive. Fiji Townhomes will provide a coveted location near vibrant Bishop Arts while offering an attractive price point. We are confident that Fiji Townhomes will be highly successful by answering these buyer desires!”

Construction of the first phase is expected to be completed by July of 2016, with additional units available in the spring of 2017.
