CASEY KEY PROPERTY SELLS FOR $2.45 MILLION

SALE IS THE BARRIER ISLAND’S  HIGHEST HOME SALE TO DATE IN 2013

A property located at 945 Casey Key Road sold on September 12th for $2.45 million, an amount just shy of its original list price of $2.5 million.

Listed by Deborah Beacham, of the Longboat Key South office of Mayfair International Realty members, Michael Saunders & Company, the luxury Gulf front property was placed under contract just six days after being listed for sale in early August. The all-cash transaction represents the highest residential sale to date in 2013 on the barrier island just south of Sarasota.

Known as “Maison d’ Amour,” the home was designed by noted “Sarasota School” architect, Tim Siebert; and built in 1979. Owned by generations of the same family, this was the first time the meticulously-maintained property has been on the market since its inception. It includes 100 feet of direct Gulf of Mexico frontage on its nearly one-acre parcel.

The property was sold to buyers represented by Sharon Lewis of Re/Max Alliance.

The Longboat Key South office of Michael Saunders & Company is located at 440 Gulf of Mexico Drive, on Longboat Key. It can be reached by calling (941) 383-7591. Deborah Beacham can be reached by calling (941) 376-2688; or by email at DeborahBeacham@michaelsaunders.com.
