Dale Sorensen Real Estate agents and staff raise funds to support Jingle Jet

Dale Sorensen Real Estate (DSRE) agents and staff continued the company’s commitment to its community by raising $4,000 to support The Zazza Community Foundation’s Jingle Jet project. DSRE hosted the private, invitation only 1920's Great Gatsby themed evening at the Suntree Country Club in Melbourne. More than 50 guests enjoyed casino games and a costume contest while 1920’s music filled the ballroom.

“The Zazza Community Foundation is a great organization and we are excited about helping them further their mission in this community,” said Donna Browning, Managing Broker for DSRE in Brevard County. “Dale Sorensen Real Estate enjoys a fantastic reputation for philanthropy. Our sales agents and staff sponsor many non-profits in our community and fully support our culture of giving. I’m very proud of the work they all do in this community.”

The event was created and managed by Browning, and DSRE office staff Jennifer Penfield and Mary Brands. Sponsors of the event included Supreme Title Solutions, Rita Bailey of KE Insurance, Chromazone Ink, Mold Trust, and Tosh Pence of Supreme Lending. Several Zazza Community Foundation members were in attendance as well.

According to the Zazza website, Jingle Jet is a unique event where neighbors, friends, co-workers, and strangers nominate families who have experienced undue hardship that adversely affects their holiday joy. A committee chooses five or more families and makes a list for each family of their needs and wants. After wrapping the gifts, they decorate and create the North Pole complete with reindeer, elves, face painters, and snowmen. The Jingle Jet plane boards each of the families and with one simple engine power down the runway with blinds closed, Jingle Jet completes another flight to the “North Pole”. When the families disembark from the plane, they enter the “North Pole” and experience Christmas.
