Dale Sorensen Real Estate announces 3rd Annual Vero Beach Easter Parade

Get your Easter bonnets dusted off and your baskets ready. Dale Sorensen Real Estate, Inc., (DSRE) has announced the date for the 3rd Annual Vero Beach Easter Parade presented by Bill and Mary Ann. Becker. The popular event will be held on Thursday, April 18 on Ocean Drive. The event will include a children’s Easter Egg Hunt, a Golf Cart Parade, and a “New York Style” Bonnets and Ball Caps Parade.

The Easter Egg Hunt, which will be broken down into 3 age groups including toddlers 5-7-year-old and 8-12-year-old, will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Humiston Park. There will be free photos with the Easter Bunny at the DSRE Kiosk located at 3101 Ocean Drive. Other free activities include face painting, fairy hair and craft stations which will begin at 4:00 pm.

The Golf Cart Parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. Golf Cart Parade participants will need to meet no later than 5:30 p.m. at the golf cart staging area located at 805 Iris Lane. The parade route will be East on Flamevine turning North on Ocean Drive to Azalea Lane, west on Azalea to Cardinal. Golf carts will be judged in the following categories: Most Easter Spirit, Most Humorous, Historic Centennial and Best of Vero Beach. Cost to register for the golf cart parade is $50 per cart. Registration can be made through Golf Carts of Vero Beach at 772-778-2278 or by email at golfcartsvb@outlook.com. Transportation of golf carts to the event can be arranged through Golf Carts of Vero Beach for an additional fee of $25.

The event will also include a fantastic “New York Style” Bonnets and Ball Cap Parade beginning at 5:30 p.m. Men, women and children of all ages are invited to participate in this event, with stylish or creative hats and ball caps. To obtain a number to walk in this portion of the parade, participants are asked to meet at the DSRE tent at the compass-star in front of the entrance to Humiston Park no later than 5:00 p.m. There is no charge to walk in the Bonnets and Ball Cap Parade. Participants will be judged in the following categories: Best Bonnet Adult Female, Best Ball Cap Adult Male, Best Bonnet Child Female, and Best Ball Cap Child Male. Easter Bonnets will be displayed and available for purchase as a part of a silent auction to support the Boys and Girls of Indian River County. Prize sponsors to include: gift certificates from White Orchid Spa and children's gift baskets from Lily Pad Vero Beach and Egg & Friends. The red carpet for the walking part of the parade was donated by Creative Carpet One.

The Vero Beach Easter Parade is the brainchild of Matilde Sorensen, co-owner of DSRE. “This has quickly become one of the favorite events of the year here in Vero Beach,” Sorensen said. “Thousands attended the last two years and we expect this event to just keep growing. The bonus is that the event benefits Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County.”
