Dale Sorensen Real Estate Delivers Nearly 20,000 PPE Packages

Fifteen thousand residents of Indian River and Brevard Counties, including the elderly, law enforcement officers, firefighters, teachers and children battling cancer, were given Personal Protection Equipment free of charge in a massive undertaking by Dale Sorensen Real Estate (DSRE). The packages, which contained a mask, a bottle of sanitizer, a box of sanitary wipes and a letter of support, were delivered by the company’s staff and sales agents in a custom mini-van that was wrapped with messages of support.
The effort is the brainchild of Dale Sorensen, Jr., Managing Partner of DSRE. “2020 was beyond stressful for so many with emotions ranging from fear, sadness, anger, and with lives, jobs, and businesses lost at levels never seen in the history of this country,” Sorensen, Jr. said. “People are stressed, scared, tired, and in the case of our area, very busy. Working alongside our team here at DSRE was incredibly inspiring, I cannot imagine trying to manage this huge project on my own. No matter how bad things are, or we think they are, we can always find things to be grateful for. I know one thing; I am grateful to work with such an amazing group.”
The company worked with Candlelighters, a non-profit organization that offers emotional and financial assistance to children with cancer and their families, to provide those families with the PPE packages. “In 2015, Dale Sorensen Real Estate (DSRE) opened their doors and hearts to Candlelighters and welcomed us into their building on 5th Ave – Indialantic,” said Natasha Duran, Executive Director Candlelighters Brevard. “Recently, DSRE provided COVID Care Packages to be distributed to Candlelighter families, resale shop volunteers and staff. These were so much more than just care packs to the Candlelighters families - they were reminders of hope that there is a company that is thinking of them and supporting them through this most difficult time in facing COVID.” The organization is currently working with 70 families in Brevard and Indian River Counties.
