Dale Sorensen Real Estate (DSRE) is pleased to welcome sales agent Tim Burklew to its team of real estate professionals. 

Licensed Florida Realtor® and Florida native Tim Burklew comes from a long line of realtors. His family has been in the real estate business for nearly 100 years.  His grandfather was a Realtor®  in the St. Petersburg area while his father owned a successful real estate business in Brevard County. His mother was also a real estate agent in Sebastian, retiring in 2021.  Growing up listening to his family talk about the industry, Tim always knew that someday that too would be his career, but at age 18 his calling was professional golf.

Tim started out playing golf for a career.  During that time, Tim was featured in Sports Illustrated.  The article “Golf Without a Caddie”, was written about Tim, one of the many highlights of his career.  After an injury forced him to leave professional golf, he and his wife bought two country clubs in New York state.  In 2012, the snow became too much so they moved back to Florida, settling in Vero Beach.  They started a local golf cart business Golf Carts of Vero Beach, an easy transition considering his history with the game. In 2019 they sold the golf cart company so Tim could fulfill his REAL passion by studying for and earning his real estate license.

Tim believes the 7 disciplines to being a golf professional, which are vision, effort, energy, enthusiasm, commitment, determination and perseverance, segued nicely in to being a real estate professional.  Tim’s reputation of working diligently on behalf of his customers, while maintaining an enthusiastic demeanor, helps his customers navigate the real estate transaction with ease.  He believes that understanding and LISTENING to his customers’ thoughts and understanding the competition helps give his buyers and sellers both an advantage. He is confident in finding solutions to conditions related to today’s fastmoving and sometimes volatile real estate market. 

Now working for Dale Sorensen Real Estate, Tim shares his love of golf by specializing in gated, HOA and golfing communities throughout Indian River County.

Tim and his wife are proud parents of 2 young adult college kids. Tim’s wife owns a company, Get Organized VB LLC, specializing in closet, pantry and garage designs and storage solutions.
