Diane Turton, Realtors Signage Lands On Beach In Bordeaux, France

It all started in October 2012 when Hurricane Sandy hit the New Jersey Shoreline. The Diane Turton, Realtors Wall Office, located at 2383 Route 34, Wall NJ, had their signage on one of their listings for sale in Brielle, New Jersey, taken away by Hurricane Sandy.

Fast forward five and a half years to May 18, 2018 when Diane Turton, Realtors Marketing Director, Perry Beneduce, received correspondence from Hannes Frank a Belgium resident claiming he found the Diane Turton, Realtors signage washed ashore on the beach in Bordeaux, France. Additional correspondence and photos provided proof that the Diane Turton, Realtors signage did, in fact, land on the beach in France.

The Diane Turton, Realtors signage originated from their Wall Office sales location based on the telephone number that appeared on the sign. Knowing that information started the quest to determine which Diane Turton, Realtors Wall Office client listing did the signage get swept away from. Based on the style and type of signage, Diane Turton, Realtors was able to determine the period of time and type of listing that would have used that particular signage. After a thorough search of their waterfront listings that lost signage during Hurricane Sandy, it was determined that the sign came from a waterfront house they had listed for sale in Brielle NJ. The house, located on Debbie’s Creek, was a short distance from the Atlantic Ocean and lost its signage when Hurricane Sandy hit in October, 2012.

“It is truly remarkable that our signage made it across the big pond and was discovered five and a half years after Hurricane Sandy devastated our beloved Jersey Shore”, said Diane Turton, President/Founder of Diane Turton, Realtors. “Having personally spoken with Hannes to thank him for taking the time to contact us, I now look forward to the opportunity to meet with him on one of my trips overseas. Having our signage in Bordeaux, France proves that Diane Turton, Realtors is truly a full service global real estate company”.
