Going the extra kilometre - an interesting selling angle from British owners in Tuscany
The owners of a wonderfully restored old mill house near Siena in Tuscany have come up with a novel approach to the sale of their 1.2 million euro home. Whilst others may opt for an Open Day, they have arranged an entire Open Week!
Sarah and Dominic Gothard have owned Mulino di Sopra for some eight years and have been splitting their time between the charming Italian property and Dubai, where their businesses are located. Although Summer holiday lettings have been providing an excellent income, they have now decided that it is time to move on from Tuscany, as Dominic’s business has necessitated relocating the family to Dubai permanently.
So, for the week from 7th to 13th April, they will be offering prospective buyers the opportunity to enjoy a Tuscan break in the glorious countryside where the property is situated. This will include discounted accommodation at three differently priced hotels and a 5 course lunch with local wines at the local Locanda, which is owned and run by a superb Italian chef who was trained at The Savoy in London. A wine tasting and tour of the acclaimed Banfi Vineyard, 20 minutes from the property, can also be arranged.
That will leave plenty of time to explore the captivating Tuscan countryside and the historic city of Siena, which is some 40 minutes drive from the property.
Perhaps most important of all, the visitors will have the opportunity to return to the property for a second or even a third viewing for, with a property such as this, it is impossible to take in all its endearing qualities from just one inspection.
