The non-profits should focus on the three identified pillars of need: Housing, Community Vibrancy, and Positive Education/Mental Well-Being. For each element, funding priority is given to at-risk, vulnerable, and special-needs populations. To apply for a grant from the Smith & Associates Real Estate Foundation, the organization must:
- be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code
- be based in or serving Hillsborough and/or Pinellas counties
- exhibit strong management and sound leadership
- file an IRS form 990 from 2018 or later
"The grant funding allows us to help a more diverse network of non-profits, often awarding multi-year grants to give us a greater impact and more connection with the organizations. We strive to empower equality, nurture well-being, improve access, and be a responsible corporate citizen to building a strong sense of community," says Bob Glaser, President & CEO, Smith & Associates Real Estate. Smith has a 54-year legacy of giving back to the communities served by focusing on three elements: Volunteerism, Sponsorships, and Foundation Grants.
The annual grant application process opens on March 1 and closes on March 31. Click here to apply. The Foundation is hosted through the Community Foundation Tampa Bay.
