"While we have had articles announcing our intention to expand into Westport and the wonderful agents who will be working there, it is now time to officially announce the opening of our new office location this Saturday, August 1. Those looking for help buying and selling homes in Westport or in and around the South Coast area can now find the Residential Properties logo hanging at 819 Main Road in Westport, MA. 

This address puts the office right in the heart of Westport, directly across the street from the Westport Town Hall and close to Lee’s Market. CEO & President of Residential Properties Ltd, Sally Lapides, is so excited to finally have an office in the area. “I discovered Little Compton and Westport 36 years ago when I bought a little cottage in Little Compton. The area is a well kept secret. The farmland on the ocean, gorgeous stone walls, handsome architecture, miles of beaches, and quaint village commons stole my heart. I always wanted to open an office in the area but it wasn’t until 2020 that the stars aligned.” 

Laurie Ammann, a Broker Associate and the lead agent for the OnPoint Team, spoke on the importance of having such a central location. “Our team is established as #1 in Westport sales for 2019 and has had an office on Main Road for seven years. We felt it was important for our client base to be able to find us so we can show them how our association with Residential Properties provides extraordinary marketing not available from any other brokerage in town.” 

The office is at the former home of another brokerage, but has been renovated to give it a great new look and feel. Sales Associate Kathy Santos has some familiarity with the building and is excited for the changes that have been made. “For me it is a return to a time when I worked here under a different broker. While the space is the same, the entire interior has been freshly painted, new carpet, and a newly added half bath. The fresh paint, new plantings, and stone driveway create a more eye catching exterior.” 

Sally Lapides gave us a rundown of the building and a quick preview of the outdoor consultation area that RPL clients are sure to love. “The office space is attached to the owner’s house so the office feels very residential. The color is a beautiful distinctive blue and it is a clean, contemporary open space. We have a wonderful outdoor table and chairs with a fun red and white striped umbrella for clients and agents. The area will feel like an outside private meeting area amidst seasonal plantings.” 

The new office will be managed by Broker Associate, Ian Barnacle who currently manages RPL’s Barrington office. Barnacle is familiar with the area having grown up spending his summers in Little Compton.

Everyone is so excited to open the office and we hope local residents can share in our delight, as we are excited to connect with the community. “It’s nice having a warm atmosphere to welcome the public to,” says Jennifer Silverman, a Sales associate and member of the OnPoint Team. “We will be offering information on town events and things for families to do around the area as well as any news.
