ST. ARMANDS PROPERTY SELLS FOR $4.25 MILLION

ST. ARMANDS PROPERTY SELLS FOR $4.25 MILLION

SALE IS THE HIGHEST ON ST. ARMAND’S KEY SINCE 2007

A waterfront estate on St. Armands Key sold this week for $4.25 million, becoming the highest priced sale of a single family home on St. Armands Key since 2007.

The 6,123 square foot home—which commands 141 linear feet of panoramic frontage on Sarasota Bay—was placed under contract after only 81 days on the market. It was sold to buyers represented by Kathleen Callender, of Michael Saunders & Company.

“Buyers of significant means are actively pursuing the most luxurious, one-of-a-kind properties our market has to offer,” said Michael Saunders from her office in downtown Sarasota. “And this property has it all—a prime location only minutes from the beaches, St. Armands Circle and downtown Sarasota, magnificent city and bay views, deep boating water; and an impeccable pedigree. I congratulate Kathleen for facilitating the purchase of this extraordinary property on behalf of her buyers.”
The home’s pedigree includes its singular design—by noted Sarasota architect Clifford Scholtz—as well as its construction in 2001 by the late master builder Michael Collingwood. The two men’s portfolio of award-winning homes includes some of the finest and most sought-after properties in Sarasota.

Surrounded by ivy-covered walls and a double-gated entry, the estate property features five en-suite bedrooms, gourmet kitchen, den, work-out room, bayside pool and spa; and a three-car garage. Terraces adorn both the upper and lower levels to allow for maximum privacy while enjoying serene sunrise and dramatic night views of the Sarasota skyline. A rich palette of custom finishes—including marble and wood floors—is used generously throughout the home; and the elegantly-appointed property is framed on all sides by mature, well-manicured tropical landscaping.
Reid Murphy, of Developers Realty, Inc., represented the seller of the property located at 112 North Washington Drive, on St. Armands Key.
