Stepping Back To A Different Era.

When the details of 3302 Wilton Woods Court in Colleyville, Texas crossed my desk I immediately spotted that some of the fireplaces date back to1850, so my love of history immediately took me to investigate what Colleyville might have been like in 1850.
Turns out that Colleyville was one of a number of small towns built along the “Cotton Belt Route”. To a Brit this sounded most romantic and conjures up visions of ladies in Victorian poplin dresses and handsome men in Stetsons, taking the rail journey from St Louis to Texas. The route ran for nearly 100 years from 1891 to 1980.
Nowadays Colleyville is a thriving suburb of Dallas/Fort Worth and presents a great place to raise a family with an excellent selection of schools for all ages, shops, cafes and restaurants. Nearby highways take you straight into Dallas, Fort Worth and the airports at Dallas/Fort Worth and Dallas Love Field.
Sadly the romantically named “Cotton Belt Railway” might no longer run but those who want to re-live history will be pleased to know the Grapevine Vintage Railroad runs through the city along the former Cotton Belt Route, offering rides on vintage locomotives from downtown Grapevine to downtown Fort Worth. All aboard!
3302 Wilton Woods Court was meticulously constructed in 1985 with all modern conveniences whilst including period features such as fireplaces, stained glass windows, two floors of beautiful period porches – and there’s even a secret passage and the conservatory was brought over from Europe!
The property is listed with Kristina Anderson who can be reached on 817-229-2615 and is currently listed at $1,695,000 (1st August 2023)
