BEACHFRONT ESTATE ON LONGBOAT KEY SELLS FOR $5.75 MILLION

PROPERTY SALE IS JUST THE LATEST TO CONFIRM THE REGION’S RESURGING LUXURY MARKET
In the highest sale of a Longboat Key property to date this year, a beachfront estate on the Key sold this morning for $5.75 million.
The luxury property, located at 2735 Gulf of Mexico Drive on Longboat Key, was sold to buyers represented by Michael Moulton, with the Longboat Key South office of Michael Saunders & Company. It was listed by Roger Pettingell, with Coldwell Banker Previews.
Custom-built with six bedrooms, the 7,550 square-foot home hugs the Gulf of Mexico shoreline and is nestled amid lush tropical foliage and manicured surroundings that include tranquil fountains and a lily pond in the courtyard. Inside are a chef’s kitchen, butler’s pantry, formal dining room and temperature-controlled wine cellar. The homes deluxe finishes include stone, hardwood and Travertine floors, glass walls to showcase panoramic water views, double-sided fireplace, summer kitchen, roof-top terrace; and a home office with custom built-ins.
“This latest sale further confirms the strong resurgence of the region’s luxury market over the past couple of years,” says Michael Moulton. “Year-to-date, there have been 44 sales throughout the region involving properties priced above $3 million, compared with 29 such sales through this time last year. Six of this year’s sales—involving three single-family homes and three condominiums—took place on Longboat Key.”
