David Konheim took the stage at the Rotary Club of Beverly Hills this past week to address the club’s various international service efforts. The Hilton & Hyland real estate agent and philanthropist has spearheaded numerous initiatives at the local chapter of the international organization, many of which have focused on funding International service projects based in Africa.
Currently, the club is engaged in multiple projects, having partnered with the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, to fund water wells and sewage systems in a local all-girls secondary school.
Elsewhere, the club has committed money for rain catchers, which capture roof rain and contain it so it can be repurposed into a useful resource. These rain catchers have proved to be an incredible benefit to the people of Entebbe, Uganda, as the region is now naturally endowed with a bountiful amount of water.
“These initiatives, combined with our chapter’s efforts in Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Mexico, provide a fantastic platform for us to give back to our world, and help improve the lives of others,” said Konheim. “People often take our neighborhood and living situations for granted, but it’s important to remember how lucky we all are, and to give back when we can.”
Everyone at Hilton & Hyland commends David for his efforts, and for all of his philanthropic endeavors.
