Davis Island Real Estate is Already Sizzling in 2017

Home Sells for $6.275 Million Marking the Largest Residential Sale of the Year in Tampa Bay (Hillsborough and Pinellas County)

Tampa’s Davis Island real estate market is off to a recording breaking start to 2017. The sale of an open bay waterfront home at 114 Martinique Drive was sold off-market for $6,275,000 and is the largest sale of a residential property in Hillsborough and Pinellas County this year. While it is only the start of 2017, this sale is very close in price to the two largest residential sales in this market last year, which were a $6.9 Million penthouse condo in the Ovation Tower, Downtown St. Petersburg, and a $6.625 Million home at 4814 Culbreath Isle Road with open bay access. Both of those homes were sold by Smith and Associates Real Estate agents.

The palatial home at 114 Martinique was built in 2000 on 1/2-acre property and has a gorgeous open bay view with 108 feet of waterfront and two boat lifts. At 8,000 sq. ft., the home has seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, pool and widow walk. The home was sold on January 25, 2017, off market and represents a trend of limited supply and increasing demand for open bay waterfront properties in South Tampa.

"There is a very limited supply of open bay property in Tampa. Davis Island is exceptionally attractive because it is very convenient to Downtown Tampa and all South Tampa has to offer," said Stephen Gay, Smith and Associates listing agent for the $6.275 million sale on Davis Island.
